Lifestyle: The Culinary Table – Real food on the edge of the Cradle of Humankind

Heading towards Hartbeespoort Dam, one of Catheryne’s week end favourites would be to stop and have a breakfast at the Culinary Table Restaurant & Deli, off Pelindaba Road.

A real food restaurant on the edge of the Cradle of Human Kind.

One would really wonder what you could find there, and yet this is a real gem.

A little restaurant has been set up within the high end Culinary shop, a space where you can indulge and relax with a wonderful breakfast, brunch, or lunch depending if you are an early riser or more of a lie in person.

On the terrace siding the vegetable patch, sipping your fresh italian Cappuccino, you enjoy the scenery and sunshine, watching the chef selecting and picking up the vegetables and herbs to prepare your meal. #PureWeekEndBliss

We have our own little oasis of herbs, organic vegetables and young fruit trees growing in our very own kitchen garden. There is no greater joy than picking fresh herbs and vegetables, and taking them straight into the kitchen. On a daily basis, the kitchen staff harvest fresh produce that is used and celebrated on our ever-changing menu.

The cherry on the top is that you can even organise your 5 star Harties picnic or your Cradle of Humankind Adventure Snacks on site at their little deli.

Culinary Table Restaurant & Deli stocks a wide selection of artisanal meats and cheeses, homemade patés, duck confit, pickles and cured meats, freshly prepared grilled and roasted vegetables and slow-fermented sourdough bread cooked in our wood-fired oven.
